1.
I was an island, waiting for storms to break my shores. Floating forever, watching the tides complete their chores. Then I was the tempest raging. You were the meadow, waiting. Flowers of gold you kept inside your lonely chest. Pictured the thought of breaking. Bad storms were barely fading. Still, there remained a love that I could not repress.
2.
Wrong Side 03:45
And your brain attacks with every single inch. Sing yourself a melody to feed the itch. Counting to ten again, closing your eyes, feels like your dying a little inside, while the rest of us repine. Fake another smile. Find yourself in a worn down place, covered in mystery and memories you'll never replace. Always tried to be the nice guy. Stuck my neck out for the wrong side, for too long.
3.
Malamute 02:52
Stand in the light, your outline fades with your shadow. Stand in the light, so I can see past the devil in you. You're fighting the urge to make the worst mistake. Structured; assured, to keep the perfect shape. You've been there once before, but it's not enough to throw the game away, 'cause this all means too much. Sleeping, just like a dog on the floor. Escaping, 'cause I don't dream anymore. And I'm passed out, oh, what a way to commit. And I'm lazy, but I'm too tired to quit. Stand in the light, your outline fades with your shadow. Stand in the light, so I can see past the devil in you. You're fighting the urge to make the worst mistake. Structured; assured, to keep the perfect shape.
4.
Afloat 02:05
Counting quarters in the hall. Feeling shy, but standing tall. Throwing rocks into the pond, can't remember what went wrong. Build yourself another anchor and just let it go. I assure you everybody else will stay afloat.
5.
Lost in a figure: fake hair and cheap nails, I push my ear up to the glass to hear your voice rebound. I couldn't picture, a life without temptation, you fill my head with subtle nothings; I'm undone. Next to the stairs behind the corridor; Next to the closet in your house: we would sleep like it's nothing, to make the grass feel like it's melting. Melting in the heat; we were, melting in the heat. Hold up my eyes. I can't see straight. Hold up my eyes.
6.
Trying 04:38
Lost in a sea of false conclusions, scared by the threat of what may come. My mouth's wide open, and it tastes like kerosene Found you home alone. You said that I should just fake it. I'm not amused, I'm just vacant. Scared, but not awake. I lie bare, while all my feelings fade. Scared, but not asleep. I don't care if I'm not yours to keep. Remember when we would drink on the back porch, and speak of a better life? I was just throwing stones at my future self, but it's been a while. I just wanna be happy. I've been trying, and now I'm here. I just wanna be happy. I've been trying, it's taking years. Let me live. Oh God, I just wanna live like I've got some time. Let me live. Oh God, I just wanna live like I've got some... Remember when we would drink on the back porch, and speak of a better life? I was just throwing stones at my future self, but it's been a while.

Tapestry 02:26
I was a thread. We were a tapestry.
8.
Common Lungs 02:54
They take up all your time, but it's too complicated. It seems like half the time, your life's so overrated. I'm a minnow in your lake, you could crush me as I wake. Take a piece of me you hate, for all your friends. Oh, I'm the grass beneath your feet, growing faster every week, telling stories to the sun of all I see. A race to cut the chord. I can't take it anymore. I'll give myself to you. All of my pride's been used. I've taken a chance or two, all for the feeling of love; you're worth the move.
